It's good to be recognised

Friday 31 August 2018 12.28pm

Just last week we learnt that Hoople Training and Education had been shortlisted for the Care Trainer’s Award in the new Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards.

We also learnt recently that we have been reaccredited by Skills for Care as an endorsed training provider for learning and development in the adult social care sector. This is the third year of our accreditation and we remain the only such organisation in Herefordshire.

We are thrilled to have been recognised in both of these ways. Not only is it a fantastic morale booster for all of our team members but great PR for our business too!

It’s true that we often forget to give our peers, team members and suppliers a ‘pat on the back’. We’re all so busy doing our jobs that words such as ‘well done’ or ‘that was great’ get forgotten. But research has shown that they make a huge difference to those on the receiving end and helps to make them feel valued and appreciated.

So long live these award ceremonies and accreditations that make us feel appreciated and proud of our organisations and colleagues. But let’s not wait for an award to recognise a job well done. A ‘thank you’ or ‘well done’ can sometimes be just as much appreciated!
