Hoople's Summer School Games sponsorship

Tuesday 23 July 2019 12.58pm

63 schools, 1900 children, 150 leader and 19 competitions all made this year’s Summer School Games something special.

Hoople sponsored and supported the enthusing event where young people gain the confidence to continue inspiring others.

The event jumped in, full swing with a dance performance by Pembridge Primary School and students from Aylestone School hosted an interview with special guest, Olympian Samantha Murray.

The whole day didn’t lose an ounce of momentum. In between the hustle and bustle of the competitions running throughout the site, at the heart of the event was a Cultural Village. Young people could soak up the atmosphere and take part in fun, alternative activities.

Tim Knapp, chairman of the Local Organising Committee, said “The Herefordshire Summer School Games offer a unique opportunity to motivate and encourage young people across the county to take part in more competitive sport.

“I would like to pay tribute to everyone involved in organising the Games, as well as our School Games sponsors, Hoople Ltd.”

Peter Knight, School Games Organiser added: “We firmly believe the event has a positive and educational impact on young people and provided them with the opportunity to develop their physical and personal skills, character and values.”
