The Employees' Support in Skills project (ESS) (funded by the European Social Fund)
: Funding available until March 2019
Organiser: Riverside Training
The subject: The ESS supports SMEs (small and medium sized enterprises) within the Marches to upskill employees aged 16 and over to develop their knowledge, skills and career prospects.
This is achieved by delivering fully funded local training that meets the requirements identified by the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and includes the health and social care sector.
Riverside are working with Hoople Training and Education and Kemble Training to offer fully funded training opportunities. Please see individual websites for further information and contact details:

Free dementia awareness training
: 10 April (Hereford); 16 May (Ross-on-Wye); 6 June (Leominster); 12 July (Ledbury)
Organiser: One Herefordshire
The subject: With an ageing population, the number of people in the UK living with, or at risk of dementia, is continuing to rise. The training will enable staff to:
- Explain what it means to have dementia
- Describe how some people are living with dementia
- Discuss some of the early symptoms
- Access further sources of information and support
