Permanent Variable Contract 12.5 – 25 hours per week

Starting at 15 hours a week

Five days a week (mornings) split across two sites

Herefordshire Pupil Referral Service consists of St David’s Centre, The Aconbury Centre, and H3 (Home, Hospital and Hub) and was recognised by OFSTED as a good school with many outstanding features in May 2012.

The St David’s Centre is a vibrant Pupil Referral Centre for 14-16 year old students who, for a variety of reasons, do not attend mainstream school. The Aconbury Centre currently supports 24 pupils in Key Stage 3 who are unable to attend mainstream school for various reasons, either on short term placements or through permanent exclusions. You will work in a warm, welcoming environment where every member of staff has the opportunity to make a difference to the lives of some of the County’s most spirited young people.

We are looking to for someone to provide front office support. Candidates will need excellent administration and communication skills. You will also need good computer skills and able to adapt to bespoke packages.  Experience of school systems such as SIMS would be an advantage.

  • you have previous experience of clerical work, preferably within a school environment

  • you have enthusiasm and a strong commitment to safeguarding and welfare of all pupils

  • you have the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and staff

  • you are a good timekeeper, flexible, accommodating and a team player
