Job details

Contract: Full time, Permanent
Required for: 1st January 2018

We are seeking to appoint an excellent, full time, permanent teacher to deliver Design & Technology and Food & Nutrition to all pupils across KS3 and KS4 including GCSE Level or equivalent.   All DT specialisms will be considered and the ability to deliver in other curriculum areas would be an advantage. You will have relevant experience and a strong desire to work with vulnerable young people. Your approach to learning will be child centred, developing minds through engaging, challenging but above all interesting learning opportunities and with a strong emphasis on 'hands on’ learning. You need to be flexible in approach and have humour, perspective and an ability to bring out the best in others.

The Brookfield School is a Special School for children with social, emotional and mental health challenges. We provide 80 places to boys and girls with a wide variety of challenging needs and our aim is to ensure that every one of them leaves our care able to thrive in adult life.

The position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (CRB) enhanced disclosure check. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Interviews: Week commencing 4th December 2017
