Can you lead, inspire and motivate the whole school community leading to the enhancement of the Teaching and Learning experience for all students enabling them to maximise their potential? We are seeking such an individual to take over from our current headteacher who is retiring on 31 December 2017 after over 18 years invaluable service to the school.
St Mary’s RC High School is a successful, popular and over-subscribed mixed 11-16 Catholic Voluntary-aided school of 750 students with an excellent reputation, located 3 miles to the east of Hereford city. The school was last inspected by Ofsted in 2013 and deemed Good; in the Section 48 inspection by the Archdiocese it was awarded excellent status. Exam results have been consistently in the top 15% nationally and progress measures for all students are significantly above national average.
Staff are professional, dedicated and highly motivated; parents are supportive and the students are committed and cooperative. The Governing Body works strongly in partnership to provide the ideal environment for the education of the students.
Hereford is a fast-growing cathedral city with the first new UK University in 30 years, due to open in 2019 with an emphasis on Engineering, Technology and Science, especially Cyber Security.
