Contract: Fixed-term (One Year)
Hours: 21.75 hours per week term time only
Monday to Thursday mornings in Year 4, Tuesday afternoon in Year 3/4, Wednesday afternoon Year 4 and Reception class all day Friday
Start date: 30th October 2017
Responsible to: Head Teacher/KS2 leader

St Mary’s C of E Primary School, Credenhill is a good school that is part of a happy and vibrant community. The Governors would like to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 1.
To work under the guidance of the class teacher with an agreed system of supervision;
To implement agreed work programmes/intervention strategies with groups of pupils both in and outside the classroom and assist the teacher in evaluating their impact.
This will also involve assisting the teacher in planning and the management/preparation of resources;
Work with teachers in planning, evaluating and adjusting work as necessary;
Monitor and evaluate pupils’ response to these learning activities through observation and recording achievement against pre-determined learning objectives;
Provide feedback to teachers and pupils.
Be responsible for keeping records and updating systems as required by the teacher;
Promote positive values and support the school’s church ethos;
Promote positive attitudes to learning and good pupil behaviour in line with school policy;
Liaise with parents, staff and outside agencies where necessary
Establish positive and productive working relationships with pupils and actively promote the inclusion of all pupils
Be aware and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, Health and safety, confidentiality and data protection.
Report concerns to appropriate person.
Attend, and participate in meetings and training activities as required.
Undertake planned supervision of pupils on visits and trips.
To undertake other duties and activities within the scope of the post as directed by the class teacher.
- Good level of education to include GCSE English and GCSE Mathematics
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with both adults and children
- Good ICT skills – can also use ICT effectively to support learning
- Ability to work independently and use own initiative.
