Our governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant.
The chosen candidate will be working with Reception, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils and will be a kind and nurturing individual committed to creating an exceptionally positive climate for children. The candidate will support our pupils in a range of learning activities and support them pastorally. Please see Job Description & Person Spec. To start as soon as possible.
It is expected that the successful applicant will:
have high expectations of pupil behaviour;
be committed to creating an exceptionally positive environment for pupils;
have a good level of education (GCSE or equivalent, grade C or above in Maths and English);
have previous recent experience of working with children in a primary setting;
have excellent communication skills;
be flexible, accommodating and a team player;
be hardworking, calm, reliable and resilient;
have a first aid qualification, or will be willing to complete one;
carry out 55 minutes lunch duty each day on a separate lunch time supervisor contract;
have a strong commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of all children.
Ashperton Primary Academy is committed to the protection and safety of its pupils and therefore all candidates will be subject to ID checks and a Disclosure and Barring Service check at Enhanced Level. The post will require you to work with children and you will, therefore, be engaged in regulated activity. You will also be subject to Childcare Disqualification Checks. Please note that it is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
