Job details

Start Date: 1st September 2018

Are you a forward thinking, creative, knowledgeable and outstanding practitioner? Do you have the drive to succeed and to motivate your students and staff to excel? We are looking for an ambitious person who wants to further develop the delivery of mathematics at Kingstone and hopefully look for a whole school leadership post within three years.

You will be joining a very supportive teaching team committed to promoting enjoyment and high achievement in mathematics for all of our students. You will be an excellent team player with high expectations and an ability to inspire, enthuse and challenge students to raise standards of achievement at all levels.

Kingstone High School is situated just six miles south of the vibrant cathedral city of Hereford and has an extensive site with superb facilities. We have a strong record of success in mathematics, a subject where our students achieve high levels of progress. The school is a small secondary but one that is growing rapidly due to the schools growing reputation.

As a school we also have a good record of developing staff so that they can move up quickly within the school or be in a position to be promoted into a leadership position elsewhere; we are not looking for a person who wants to rest on their laurels. This is an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic, committed and talented classroom practitioner who is seeking further professional development.

We would welcome potential applicants to visit the school and see it for themselves.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All vacancies that involve working with vulnerable adults and/or children will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check at enhanced level, along with other standard pre-employment checks.
