Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Kingstone High School requires an enthusiastic and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. The successful candidate will complement the professional work of the teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under a system of supervision.

Applications from candidates with good all-round subject knowledge alongside a good standard of numeracy and literacy will be particularly welcomed. The role will involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities, for individuals and small groups and providing in class support to students, in a range of subjects up to GCSE level. It will also involve monitoring students and assessing, recording and reporting on students’ progress.

The successful candidate will be expected to meet H.L.T.A. national standards or hold equivalent skills, expertise or experience as a TA.   Appropriate training will be provided for the successful candidate.
