Kingstone High School is an 11 to 16 school, part of Kingstone Academy Trust which also includes Kingstone and Thruxton Primary School. We are located in a beautiful setting 5 miles south west of Hereford serving a large rural catchment area.

We are able to announce an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified, dedicated and experienced Teacher of English to lead our English department. We are a growing school and this is a fantastic opportunity as the English Department moves towards it next stage of development. You will be joining an enthusiastic, committed and creative team who are working hard to engage, challenge and support each individual student. The department consistently achieves results well above the national average.

The department consists of two full-time and two part-time teachers, supported by a specialist HLTA and is housed in well-equipped classrooms along a single, second floor corridor. Resources are excellent within the department and suggestions to invest in new resources, materials and equipment are always welcome.

The school has a proven track record of developing ambitious and capable professionals. The successful applicant will be a talented practitioner as the role will have a teaching commitment alongside the leadership role, which will include oversight of the GCSE Media Studies course and the Library.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All vacancies that involve working with vulnerable adults and/or children will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check at Enhanced Level, along with other standard pre-employment checks.
