Job details

Required for September 2018

This is an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic, committed and talented science teacher to join a friendly and supportive team, working within an innovative, forward-thinking and supportive school.

In October 2017 Queen Elizabeth High School was judged ‘Good’ in all areas, with very high parental support. The school has had positive Progress 8 figures for the last two years and is top of the county for disadvantaged student progress.

Queen Elizabeth High School is nestled in rural Herefordshire, in the town of Bromyard, a thriving community, close to both Hereford and Worcester, so we are lucky enough to enjoy the quiet countryside and stunning surroundings whilst being within easy reach of all the major transport networks. This may be why our school is big enough to make a real difference, whilst also being small enough to care, for all our students. It is therefore incredibly important to us to invest wisely in our students and staff, through working collaboratively, sharing ideas and supporting each other so that we can achieve great things. This means we are committed to further developing the innovative teaching and learning strategies in our school and are confident that an exciting future awaits us. Is this a journey you would like to learn more about and be part of?

The department offers double award and separate sciences at GCSE. The opportunity to teach any area of separate sciences is potentially available and can be discussed. Curriculum time given to science is very generous.

We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and NQT’s (full induction and mentoring package for NQT’s).

Queen Elizabeth High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. You will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Check at Enhanced Level along with other standard pre-employment checks.

For more information contact

Please note that only applications submitted on Queen Elizabeth High School application forms for the attention of Mrs V Leighton, PA to Headteacher, Ashfields, Bromyard HR7 4QS will be considered and we do not accept CVs.
