Job details

 The Hub, Hospital and Home Teaching Team are part of the Hereford Integrated Behaviour Outreach Service which provides education to students with behavioural and or medical conditions.

 H3 provides education and support to pupils who are unable to attend mainstream school for health reasons. We provide a safe, enjoyable learning experience which is tailored to the needs of the pupil. Support is provided at various settings including the hub, the hospital classroom and if needed, in the pupil’s home. This position will be based at the Hub although you could be required to work at any of the centres within the Hereford Integrated Behaviour Outreach Service.

 We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Support Assistant to provide individual support to students in core subjects such as English and Mathematics and contribute to classroom practice. We would like to hear from you if:-

  • you have previous experience of working with young people across all age ranges

  • you have enthusiasm and a strong commitment to achievement, safeguarding and welfare of all children

  • you have excellent communication skills

  • you have a sense of humour, and the ability to inject fun into learning

  • you have realistic expectations of pupil behaviour, giving the varying personal, social and emotional issues our students have to deal with

  • you are flexible, accommodating and a team player
