Whitecross Hereford is seeking to appoint a Welfare and Safeguarding Officer.

We are looking for a person who is interested in joining a great school where team work and collaboration lie at the heart of our work to provide an outstanding education for our students.

Our resources are some of the best around but it is our people who make our school what it is. If you want to join a staff committed to working together to be the best, supported by a comprehensive leadership and development programme, then we want to hear from you.

Working alongside the Student Services team, the Welfare and Safeguarding Officer will share responsibility for safeguarding and child protection across the school. They will take part in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings, and contribute to the assessment of children. They will advise and support other members of staff on child welfare and child protection matters, and liaise with relevant agencies such as the local authority and police.

Our students are fantastic; the school is popular and thriving and our belief in the potential of every child underpins everything we do.

We want our students to be supported by people who demonstrate the highest professional standards and who share our passion to provide the best possible education for our students. The successful candidate will be organised, methodical, a great communicator and able to build strong relationships with students, families, staff and external agencies.
