We are seeking an inspiring and talented Sous Chef to join our Café Bar as soon as possible.  You will be leading shifts in the kitchen, committed to playing your part to engage the team and ensuring we exceed our customer’s expectations.  You will have a passion for producing good food using locally-sourced ingredients and the flair to create your own dishes and collaborate with the Head Chef on developing the menu.

The Courtyard is a thriving and busy arts venue, attracting both regular and new visitors.  Our popular Café Bar is open all day, six days a week, plus selected Sundays.  Food service is available lunchtimes and early evenings with all dishes freshly prepared on the premises.  Pre-show dining brings the challenges of preparing and serving food in a relatively short time window, but does mean that food service usually ends by 7.45pm.  You will also be involved with catering for conferences, birthdays, business meetings and receptions, so there is ample opportunity to showcase your creative cooking skills.

This varied and challenging role would suit a creative and confident person with excellent communication skills who loves working as part of a close-knit team and has a genuine passion for food.
