Our well established client is looking to recruit a temporary Financial Services Assistant. The role is to support the Financial Services Manager with day-to-day activities to ensure financial services are delivered in a timely and efficient manner and to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
It is a full time role working 35 hours weekly, the assignment length being 1 to 2 months with the potential to be extended.
To support the Financial Services Manager in the delivery of the Group’s payroll functions, as and when required.
Deliver effective cash management by:
o Processing cash payments promptly
o Regularly depositing cash and cheques received into the organization at the bank and ensuring amounts kept in the safe and in transit do not exceed that covered by the Company’s insurance.
o Processing BACS files ready for submission and preparing cheque payments
o Issuing petty cash and maintaining appropriate controls
Produce and assist in the development of financial procedures, ensuring all key functions are fully documented and regularly reviewed and updated.
Provide operational financial guidance to colleagues at all levels throughout the Group.
Contribute to the development and implementation of systems and processes to monitor compliance with Company policies
Deal efficiently, effectively and with sensitivity where necessary towards all customers, both on the telephone and in person.
Actively contribute to projects and support any development of procedures or systems
Prepare monthly general control account reconciliations and resolve any reconciling items promptly
Actively identify control issues, and devise and introduce solutions or amendments to procedures and practices to maintain control and system integrity.
