Do you want to work in a role where you can support people to rebuild their lives?

Vennture believes that people can and do recover from the issues created by homelessness.

Covid -19 has led to an unprecedented opportunity to reduce the numbers of Herefordshire’s rough sleeping and sofa surfing community and for the first time, each ‘homeless person’ has been identified, located, and through Venntures’ initiatives, is being engaged through a process of care that puts them in the lead.

Vennture is now looking for a Link Worker with a focus on preventing homelessness, working with partners to identify triggers to support at earliest point of contact. This role will further progress current work with individuals who are homeless in temporary accommodation or rough sleeping designed to work further ‘upstream’ to prevent the revolving door of homelessness.

We are looking for a highly motivated person with genuine hard-edged compassion and great communication skills who share our vision that transformation is possible.

The role will suit someone who has experience in supporting individuals adopting a ‘whole person’ approach to prevent homelessness. Experience of providing support and knowledge of housing, and support. You will understand the issues faced by those facing homelessness or vulnerably housed and the difficulties they experience. You will also have experience of solid safeguarding practice and working in partnership.

If you are an inspirational and committed individual with a real desire to support people to rebuild their lives, we want to hear from you.

Christian vision, ethos and principles underpin the way Vennture operates, and it is expected that the successful applicant will have empathy with and be able to embrace our Venn values of Faith, Love and Endeavour. They will connect to our sense of purpose and vision and be able to integrate swiftly and successfully into our high-performing and friendly team and enjoy being part of a challenging and ground-breaking initiative.
