The Governors and Headteacher are seeking to appoint an HLTA: Responsible for Access Arrangements, ensuring student progress for all learners with special educational needs and disabilities across the school, in line with the SEND Code of Practice 2015.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and talented professional to join our dynamic, forward thinking and friendly environment.

The successful candidate will have a passion for the welfare of young people and will help provide a high quality engaging and safe working environment for all students.

They will assist in managing the provision, recently recognised as good by Ofsted, for students identified as having Special Educational Needs (SEN); including promoting high quality teaching, effective use of resources, and high standards of learning and achievement for all.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold relevant qualifications at a level 7 standard.
  • Meet HLTA standards.
  • Have experience of conducting a range of SEND assessments
  • Have an excellent knowledge and understanding of recent, relevant professional development in SEND
  • Be adaptable and able to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people, have a good understanding of the safeguarding agenda and show a personal commitment to safeguarding.
  • Have the ability to communicate appropriately and clearly at all levels within the school, including staff, students, parents, visitors and external organisations
