Example hours

15 hours per week plus 50% stand down during school holidays

Example daily hours: 7 - 8 am and 3 - 5 pm during term time

 

Peterchurch Primary School, in the heart of Herefordshire’s Golden Valley, wishes to appoint a responsible, hardworking, dedicated person, who takes pride in their work, to the position of Cleaner in Charge. 

The successful candidate will be a strong team player who is able to maintain the current high standards of cleaning and maintenance within the school. 

They will work in co-operation with our other cleaner and staff to help ensure the health and safety of the children and all who work or visit the school. 

We have an on-site swimming pool which is also the responsibility of the Cleaner in Charge to clean and maintain. Training will be given to the successful applicant.

 

The role MUST include: 

• Cleaning duties
• Low level maintenance duties
• Key holder

 

And IDEALLY would include: 

• Some holiday work ie the ability to open up school in holidays for contractors/maintenance works while school is closed to pupils.

 

Visits to the school by appointment are welcomed.
