The governors, staff and children of Whitchurch CE Primary seek an inspirational Head of School to start on or before Autumn 2021.


We are seeking an outstanding teacher to lead the day-to-day running of Whitchurch Primary School, to build on our successes and achievements and to strengthen our well-established team within the River Wye Federation.


You would be working in a unique and thriving federation which comprises of two Church of England primary schools: Weston-under-Penyard CE Primary School and Whitchurch CE Primary School.


We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a great teacher who can balance the challenges of teaching and learning whilst managing the day-to-day running of the school

  • Cultivates positive, professional working relationships with the energy to inspire others

  • Has previous leadership experience and aspires to make a real difference

  • Has superb organisational skills and understands a small school context

  • Embraces and can develop the unique spirit and Christian ethos of our federation

  • Has knowledge and experience of safeguarding, child protection and SEND

  • Understands and leads others in purposeful assessment
