The governors of Whitchurch CE Primary School and Nursery seek to appoint a nursery assistant to work within our growing nursery team of staff and children, within our thriving school.


We are looking for someone who:

  • Has an NVQ Level 3, or higher, qualification in Child Care

  • has a robust knowledge of the current EYFS framework and aspires to make a real difference to our recently-opened school nursery

  • Has a good understanding of child development in particular provision for 2 year olds

  • Has the ability to reflect and continually improve

  • has a sound understanding of safeguarding, child protection, health and safety, food safety, confidentiality and whistleblowing

    Details about the role:

  • Start date: Monday 25 April 2022

  • Grade: 03HPL

  • Salary: £10,236 - £10,441 per annum

  • Approximately 24 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks) with additional holiday overtime when needed

  • Hours between 8.45am and 3.30pm

  • Permanent variable contract (permanent variable range 20 – 30 hours per week)


    Requested qualifications and experiences:

  • At least NVQ Level 3 qualification in Childcare

  • Experience working within an EY setting
