On behalf of Walford Nursery & Primary School, Hoople is seeking to appoint a talented and fully qualified Nursery Supervisor who holds a current Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) qualification.
As this is a new venture, there will be flexibility in terms of school hours and school holidays, which will be discussed further at interview.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years specialist to join our happy, successful and forward-thinking team. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Early Years education, be highly organised and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Key responsibilities include:
Responsibility for the development and daily management of the teaching practice in the nursery setting
Ensuring that all required standards, ratios and conditions of registration are
maintained at all time
Providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and nursery policies and procedures.
Ensuring a high standard of quality, safe, interesting and stimulating learning methods and environments for children within group rooms
Key person for a designated group of children in addition to having an overall duty of care to all children.
Developing excellent communications with parents/guardians encouraging them to participate in their child’s progress and development.
Completion of all record-keeping in line with nursery policies and procedures and ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times through adherence to safe working systems.
Assessing, recording and reporting on the development progress and attainments of the children to the EYFS Manager and highlighting concerns where identified.
You will need:
A full and relevant Early Years Teaching qualification e.g. EYT or EYPS or QTS with Early Years
Excellent knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
Paediatric First Aid & Food Hygiene is desirable but not essential
All positions are subject to an enhanced DBS Check
