Would you like to change the lives of people in your local community? Do you have a holistic approach to providing care, companionship and support? Crossroads Care is a specialist charitable organisation who provide practical help and social opportunities to unpaid carers.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic Community Outreach Workers to work within our developing service across Herefordshire. We are looking for caring, reliable and committed individuals to provide an innovative, person-centered service.
The successful candidate will work with families, young people and the elderly to support with care needs in order to take part in meaningful activities, hobbies and days out. Good communication skills are required as you will engage with service users to build trusting, therapeutic relationships.
A full induction and package of certificated training will be provided. This includes Dementia Awareness, Autism Awareness, Therapeutic Activities, Moving and Handling and Safeguarding, a perfect pathway into health and social care. We operate flexible working hours and shift patterns to suit employees availability.
The ideal candidate must have a positive 'can do' attitude, must be over the age of 18 years old, have access to a vehicle and a full driving license. Experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
