ILM Team Leading
Who is it for?
New and aspiring team leaders. The programme provides an in-depth introduction to the role and responsibilities of a team leader.
Are there any entry requirements?
There are no formal entry requirements as the apprenticeship programme will include training in maths, English and ICT skills if you do not already hold a GCSE Grade A–C (or 9-4) in these subjects.
What kind of things will I learn?
A combination of mandatory and optional units can be chosen, allowing learners to choose modules most relevant to their setting. In general, the programme covers:
- Core skills to lead a team successfully
- Motivation techniques to get the best from people
- The confidence to tackle difficult issues, eg under performance
- Tools to develop as a leader
What qualification will I achieve?
Completion of this apprenticeship will take 12 to 18 months. On successful completion, you will be awarded an ILM Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading.
