This course teaches practical skills as well as the theory around a positive behaviour support value base and the law.

Who is it for?

This course is for anyone who works with individuals who may present behaviours that challenge them or others. This course is also beneficial to lone workers.

We are also able to offer tailored courses for the following client groups: dementia, learning disabilities.

What are the outcomes?

The content of this bespoke course is tailored to your needs. On completion of this training course, participants will be able to:

  • Use various techniques to deescalate
  • Respond safely and appropriately to behaviours that challenge
  • Use various techniques to safely disengage from being held by adults

A training needs audit must be completed by the trainer to ensure this course is correct for the needs of the organisation. All attendees need to bring a completed assessment profile to the training.
