IOSH managing safely
This Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) course has been designed to give managers, and those with health and safety responsibilities, an understanding of how to deal with the issues and aims to raise levels of awareness in terms of their responsibilities.
Duration: 4 days
Who is it for?
This course is for managers of services, and for workers holding health and safety responsibilities as part of their role.
What are the outcomes?
On completion of this training course, participants will be able to:
- Assess risks within their service area
- Define and describe methods to control risks
- Define their responsibilities Identify hazards in their service area
- Investigate accidents and incidents
- Measure performance
- Describe responsibilities and approaches to protect the environment
The course includes a 45 minute written assessment paper (multi-format questions) and a practical assignment, consisting of an examination of the delegate’s workplace and risk assessment to complete in order to gain IOSH certification.
This course can be delivered in-house if required.
