Staunton-On-Wye Endowed Primary School is a nurturing, rural school which fosters a love of learning. We are looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in KS2 with children in need of support:

• Has a good understanding of child development and additional needs
• Has a high standard of general education including good proven numeracy and literacy skills.
• Has relevant experience of working with children with a range of additional needs.
• Has the ability to foster well-being and support a nurturing learning environment.
• Has the ability to facilitate pupil’s independent learning.
• Has an ability to work flexibly, confidentially, efficiently and with their own initiative.

Staunton on Wye Endowed Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
