Home First is a short-term reablement service delivered in partnership with the local authority, Wye Valley Trust, and a network of professionals. Our mission is to support individuals in maintaining their independence within the comfort and familiarity of their own home. We provide over 55,000 hours of care every year.

Hillside Care Centre
Hillside is a 22-bed residential home providing short-term care and rehabilitation to approximately 160 individuals each year. As part of the discharge-to-assess pathway, we support people transitioning from hospital to home, offering a safe and supportive environment tailored to their recovery needs.

Southbank
Southbank is a residential service in Hereford providing support for adults with learning disabilities. Our service operates across three bungalows and offers accommodation for up to 13 residents. We strive to create a warm, family-like environment where residents feel truly at home and staff feel genuinely valued.

Ridgemoor
Ridgemoor is an eight-bed residential service for adults with learning disabilities, operating from two bungalows in Leominster. Our core focus is on delivering innovative, personalised care within a supportive residential setting, for our residents, their families, and visiting professionals alike.

Stephen joined Hoople in 2020, bringing with him over 20 years of senior management experience across Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Ofsted-regulated Further Education (FE) services. He has a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and managing complex, outcome-focused contracts across England and Wales. At Hoople, Stephen is instrumental in the strategic direction of our CQC-registered services. Leveraging his extensive background in care, further education, and welfare-to-work programmes, he ensures our services not only meet but exceed regulatory standards. A key part of Stephen’s leadership has been championing the digital transformation of our care services. Under his guidance, Hoople has embraced innovative technologies to enhance service delivery, improve operational efficiency, and ensure better outcomes for the individuals we support. His forward-thinking approach is helping to future-proof our services and align them with the evolving needs of the care sector.

Tammy joined Hoople Care as Quality Manager in January 2024, bringing with her many years of experience in the care sector, along with a training and assessing background. Prior to starting at Hoople, Tammy was the Quality & Review Lead for Herefordshire Council. Tammy has a passion for ensuring that those in need of support receive the best care experience possible. She supports Hoople Care to meet CQC standards and legislation, and works closely with the care teams to develop, monitor and support service improvements.

Kiain has worked in health and social care for the past 30 years, working in different care settings from learning disabilities, mental health, elderly care and also end of life care. He has worked in management for the past 22 years, managing services across Worcestershire and Herefordshire for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, as well as mental health issues. Kiain has NVQ level 4 in Care Management and the Registered Care Managers award, in addition to an LMA Level 5 in Leadership. "I am passionate about my role as a registered care manager, ensuring a high level of care is provided, supporting and leading my team to achieve high standards, and helping them with their career progression and development."

Paula has worked in health and social care, in and around Herefordshire, for almost 30 years. During her career, Paula has had a range of roles, all of which have been integral to the health and wellbeing of those she supports. Paula joined Hoople Care in 2022 and later became Registered Manager for Ridgemoor Road. Paula is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care: "I couldn't imagine working in any other sector. I embrace the challenges each day presents and love being a part of Team Ridgemoor. I feel privileged to experience being a part of the lives of the residents we care for."

Kathryn is Registered Manager at Hillside Care Centre. Her successful career in the care sector has been driven by a deep-routed commitment to improving the lives of others. In 2014, she was nominated by her colleagues for a Hereford Times Health & Social Care Award and won Employer of the Year. Colleagues praised her leadership, as well as her unwavering sympathy, reliability and exceptional work ethic. Kathryn has over 30 years’ experience in the care sector and has been at Hillside since the facility opened in 2020. Her favourite part of her role is seeing residents progress and mentoring young carers.
