Accordia Academies Trust is looking for a dynamic and motivated Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our supportive, multidisciplinary team working across our special school and college settings.

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a rewarding, child-focused environment where you'll support pupils with a range of complex needs, including sensory processing challenges, motor skill difficulties, and learning disabilities. You will assess and deliver individualised interventions to promote participation, independence, and functional skills development across all areas of daily life.

You will collaborate closely with teaching staff, families, and external professionals to embed occupational therapy into classroom routines and wider school life.

Key Responsibilities
✓ Assess and deliver occupational therapy interventions tailored to individual pupil needs.
✓ Support the development of fine and gross motor skills, sensory integration, and daily living skills.
✓ Provide training and advice to staff and families to support consistency and generalisation.
✓ Contribute to multidisciplinary planning and review.
✓ Maintain accurate, high-quality records and uphold professional standards.

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking someone who is:
✓ HCPC registered with a recognised degree in Occupational Therapy.
✓ Passionate about working with children and young people with disabilities
✓ .A reflective practitioner with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
✓ Able to work independently and as part of a wider team.
✓ Committed to ongoing professional development.

Experience in special education or paediatrics is desirable but not essential – we welcome newly qualified therapists with relevant placements and enthusiasm for SEN.
