In November 2023 Barrs Court was graded as Outstanding.
Due to the further growth of our school we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and creative teacher, who is a passionate advocate for SEND students. You will provide outstanding teaching, learning and assessment, stretching and challenging your students to reach their potential. As part of our team you will be building on the outstanding work that is already in place to enable and empower our pupils and students to be prepared for adulthood in today’s society.
Experience with working with students with SEND is desirable but not essential, what is important is that you have the drive and creativity and the commitment to be a ‘make a difference’.
As a primary or secondary trained teacher, you will find that you have many of the skills and qualities we need so please do not hesitate to get in touch. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
