JMHS is seeking to appoint a Science Technician to work for 25 hours per week (term time only). Appointment will be made based on skills and experience.

 

As a Science Technician, you will be required to provide the Science Faculty with high quality technical and scientific assistance, in order to enhance the quality of educational experiences offered to students in Science. You will provide support for all practical activities within the Faculty including helping to maintain all standard laboratory equipment, as well as ensuring the safe storage of chemicals. You will work with all colleagues in the Faculty to support the delivery of practical work in line with the national curriculum requirements for Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level Science. Your professional development will be encouraged and supported and you will be a key person in terms of developing innovative new approaches to all aspects of practical activity in the Faculty.

 

JMHS was recognised by OFSTED in November 2022 as a ‘Good’ school.  It is particularly noted for the quality of the curriculum, care, guidance and support, and leadership and management.  We have excellent standards of pastoral care, and superb enrichment opportunities.
