Kingstone High School is seeking to appoint an inspirational Teacher of Music to join our Expressive Arts Faculty.   We are a Good school in beautiful Herefordshire, on an extensive site with superb facilities, just a short distance from the lively and developing city of Hereford.

We strive to make learning at Kingstone a brilliant and rewarding experience. Music has a central place in the life of the school: both within the curriculum, where music is offered at GCSE, and in its contribution to extra-curricular activities.  The successful candidate will deliver high quality lessons and ignite the enthusiasm of students and enhance and further develop this extra-curricular programme. An ability to teach music technology would be an advantage.

Applications from both ambitious colleagues and ECTs would be most welcome (full induction and mentoring package provided for ECTs). We are happy to consider a full time or part time role,   In return, we offer the opportunity to teach fantastic students, as well as a committed and supportive staff team who are keen to develop and learn.  There are excellent CPD opportunities to grow and develop through mentorship and coaching.

You will be joining a supportive staff team committed to promoting enjoyment and high achievement for all of our students.  Therefore, if you are an enthusiastic classroom practitioner with high expectations and an ability to inspire, enthuse and challenge students to raise standards of achievement at all levels we would like to hear from you.

In return, we offer:

  • A school with a strong commitment to your professional development
  • A working environment focused on Teaching and Learning and raising standards for all
  • The opportunity to work in a staff team where your skills, enthusiasm and hard work will be appreciated
  • A school where staff wellbeing is a priority

Kingstone High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
