Lugwardine Primary Academy serves a catchment based around the villages of Bartestree and Lugwardine. Located within Bartestree, the school is on a housing estate with easy access to fields and farmland. We are a fully inclusive school with happy and enthusiastic children, highly motivated staff and a supportive Governing Body.
Lugwardine Primary Academy wish to appoint an enthusiastic, well-motivated and dedicated cleaner to work alongside and under the direction of the Site Manager.
It is expected the successful applicant will have:
• An understanding and perception of the need for a high standard of cleanliness in schools.
• Possess a thorough approach to cleaning and the storage of cleaning materials
• The ability to work effectively with other cleaning staff and managers.
• A good time keeper.
• A commitment to providing a clean and pleasant environment for pupils and staff.
• To work in support of the ethos of the school.
• Previous experience of cleaning
Visits to the school by prior appointment are warmly welcomed.
Lugwardine Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
