We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy head (with teaching responsibility) to join Lugwardine Primary Academy.
Main Purpose of Job:
- Leadership of Pastoral and Behaviour, supporting the provision of a safe, calm and orderly environment for teaching and learning that empowers both staff and pupils to achieve their fullest potential.
- Act within, the statutory frameworks, which set out their professional duties and responsibilities and in line with the duties outlined in the current School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document and Teacher Standards
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Senior Leadership experience
- A degree level qualification or equivalent
- Excellent subject knowledge and a clear understanding of the primary curriculum
- Proven track record of school improvement and change management
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Pastoral experience at senior management level
