The Executive Headteacher and Governors of The Trinity Federation are looking for a confident and skilled teacher to join the committed staff team in our SEND Hub at St. Mary’s Bluecoat CE Primary School. St. Mary’s Bluecoat CE Primary School and the schools in The Trinity Federation will be joining Shropshire Church of England Academies Trust on December 1st as part of the founding group of schools. Therefore, the successful candidate’s employment will be with the Trust. Further information will be made available to candidates.

As a Church of England Primary School, St Mary’s Bluecoat School is an inclusive school with a strong reputation for successfully meeting the needs of pupils with additional needs.

There is a palpable team spirit and ‘can do’ attitude among staff within the school as we strive to achieve the very best outcomes for all children. The SEND hub on the school site embodies the inclusive ethos of the school.

Our Hub is a provision for children with a range of complex needs and a specific aim to support those children who present with a broad variety of Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (including Autistic Spectrum Conditions) identified as their primary need in their EHCP.

Children attending the hub receive specific teaching through a flexible, formal curriculum which is carefully designed to meet their needs whilst also accessing some learning with their mainstream peers (as appropriate) and participating in the inclusive school community at every possible opportunity.

We are looking for an experienced teacher to join our hub staff team in January. Working under the executive leadership of The Director of Inclusion and SEND, and with the support of a highly skilled team of teaching assistants, the hub class teacher will be responsible for teaching a small class of pupils in our purpose-built provision.

We are looking for a highly skilled teacher with a proven track record of meeting the needs of children with special educational needs. The successful candidate will have experience of working with children with SEND in either a primary school setting or in a specialist provision.

We offer the successful candidate:

  • A SEND allowance on their salary
  • Enthusiastic children who love their hub
  • Supportive parents
  • A dedicated and hardworking team of teachers and support staff
  • A strong, effective and experienced executive leadership team
  • A commitment to your continuous professional development through collaborative working and evidence-based approaches.

Shortlisted candidates will be notified by email shortly after the closing date.

Interview/Observation: Friday 29th November 2024

References will be taken up prior to interview.
