We have an exciting opportunity for a class teacher to join our happy team in February 2025

St Paul’s C of E Primary School is an Academy of 415 children with a deep rooted Christian vison that underpins all that we do. Our school is set in beautiful grounds on the edge Hereford, with large outdoor spaces, a nurture garden, conservation area, and a wide range of sporting clubs. Our fantastic facilities also include two libraries, a STEM lab, EYFS area, language hub and a food bank, all of which help our children to flourish.

We have an exciting opportunity for a class teacher to join our happy team in February 2025. As a Year 2 Maternity Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for a foundation subject (to be agreed depending on your expertise) in addition to your class teaching duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that promote a love of learning and intellectual curiosity
  • Ensure that teaching responds to the strengths and needs of all pupils, using effective differentiation strategies and adaptations.
  • Make accurate and productive use of assessment, providing regular feedback to support pupil progress
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
  • Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school, developing positive professional relationships

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a clear understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or lower Key Stage 2, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a desire to grow as a practitioner

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
