We are looking to appoint a dedicated and supportive Teaching Assistant to join our committed team at Canon Pyon CofE Academy. This position is open to candidates with qualifications and experience ranging from Level 1 through to Level 3. Whether you are starting your career or bringing advanced skills, we want to hear from you.

 

The role:

  • Supporting the education, care and welfare of children under the guidance of the class teacher
  • Assisting in the preparation of resources and supporting group activities in and out of the classroom
  • Promoting positive behaviour and reinforcing pupils’ self-esteem
  • Helping children to access the curriculum and make good progress in a nurturing environment

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have some experience of working with children (paid or voluntary)
  • Be flexible, calm, and able to work as part of a team
  • Be committed to supporting an inclusive school ethos
  • Be willing to undertake relevant training
  • Be subject to an enhanced DBS check
