Rural families who are dealing with parental conflict are hidden, disconnected, and unable to access timely, meaningful support.
Vennture is seeking a Specialist Senior Link Worker to work with the Programme Lead to develop the programme and to work collaboratively with small rural schools and alongside families who are finding things tough and need support to overcome the barriers they are facing to reach their full potential.
You will be fully trained in our relational approach and supported to carry out the following duties and responsibilities.
- Work with Herefordshire primary schools to raise teacher awareness of parental conflict, share the toolkit and pro-actively identify parents in conflict.
- Work sensitively with parents who experience parental conflict including those living together and separated
- Maintain your own caseload of families and play an active part in supporting, mentoring and developing a team of link workers and providing professional supervision.
- Mentor parents for 6 months by integrating parental conflict tools into our proven family programmes.
- Provide a parental conflict helpline for rural schools, communities and families including a rapid referral process to better meet the needs of parents in crisis.
- Use Vennture’s personalised Journey Mapping tool to help parents understand their conflict, unpack what they want and harvest insights on parental conflict.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure a high standard of service to families
- Work within established procedures for handling information, both confidentially and taking account of safeguarding and assessing risk.
- Deputise for the Programme Lead as necessary and have a role in the ongoing development of the programme
