About us
We are the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Information Advice and Support Service. We offer a range of support on all SEN matters to children and young people with additional needs and their parents/carers.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in a new role as a SENDIASS Advisor (Link Keyworker). The successful applicant will be providing intensive information, advice and support on all SEND matters including Health and social care, to a caseload of vulnerable young people and their families. You will be expected to manage your own caseload and undertake the duties of a keyworker, liaising with a range of stakeholders, to build successful outcomes. The role reports directly to the SENDIASS Operational Manager. Full training will be provided to the successful applicant. 

Key requirements
A professional with proven experience of working with families of children and/or young people with additional needs. The ability to communicate effectively and sympathetically to a wide range of people. Knowledge of SEND law and the SEND code of practice would be advantageous as will local policies and procedures regarding SEND. Training and support will be provided to the right candidate.

Skills/experience
Applicants must have proven report writing and recording experience, as well as experience of working with parent/carers of young people and/or children with SEND and/or vulnerable groups. A proactive approach is vital to this role, as well as innovative and excellent networking skills. The ability to travel across the county is required as well as strong team working skills.
