The role will be varied and will include whole class support and working with small groups and individual children. 

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • A good standard of education, including GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Understanding of the needs of all children and a strong commitment to inclusive education.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good personal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A creative and proactive approach to learning.
  • A strong commitment to achievement and the wellbeing of all children.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and maintain a sense of humour.
  • Able to build positive, respectful relationships with pupils and colleagues.
  • Firm but fair in managing behaviour and supporting children's emotional development.
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to keeping children safe.

Desirable:

·         Previous experience working in a school.
