Curriculum Team Leader – Maths (currently including leadership of Computing, but subject to negotiation at interview)

The Governors and Headteacher are seeking to appoint an inspirational and talented Curriculum Team Leader of Maths currently including leadership of computing but to be discussed and finalised.

You should have a passion for challenging students to achieve their best possible outcomes through inclusive learning and be able to teach across the ability range from KS3 to KS4.

 

The successful candidate will:

• have a clear vision for Maths teaching, learning and development (currently also including Computing)

• be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record in raising standards
• be committed to inclusion, high expectations and raising standards
• be able to think strategically, creatively and analytically
• enjoy responsibility and lead confidently
• have humour, perspective and an ability to bring out the best in others
• support extra-curricular activities

 

This is a great opportunity to join the school and lead our team to its future success. The Maths and Computing team is currently made up of 7 full time staff.

 

Ofsted 2021 rated ‘Good’ in all areas stated that “The school has a culture of continuous improvement. Senior leaders and governors are passionate about giving pupils the best education and care possible. This commitment permeates throughout the school”

 SIAMs 2018 stated that ‘Pastoral care is exemplary.’

 This post carries a requirement for an Enhanced disclosure (under the provisions of the Police Act 1997).  The school will require you to give permission to carry out a disclosure.
