Required from 1st June 2026 (flexible for the right candidate)
Part time (12.5 hours per week, term time only) – Days negotiable but ideally worked across Monday Thursday and Friday each week. The hours will be split across both schools, with a greater weighting towards Brampton Abbotts initially.
The Role
Brampton Abbotts and Bridstow CE Primary Schools are seeking to appoint a friendly, professional and highly organised Administrative Assistant Level 3 to join our small school team.
This is a shared role working across both schools, supporting the smooth and efficient running of the school offices and providing a welcoming first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors.
The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support, contributing to the effective day‑to‑day operation of both schools. The post holder will need to work with a high level of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail, while managing changing priorities in a busy school environment.
The ideal candidate will;
- Be competent in using IT systems for administrative outcomes, as well as having confident knowledge and use of Microsoft 365 (particularly Word and Excel)
- Be forward‑facing and have positive people skills
- Have a professional and friendly manner
- Be able to solve problems with strong attention to detail
- Have a clear understanding that professional discretion is paramount
- Have the ability to prioritise workloads and respond to changing demands
- Have good numeracy and literacy skills (English and Maths)
- Be able to maintain confidentiality at all times within a school environment
Previous administrative or office‑based experience including financial and HR related experience would be desirable.
