We are looking for an Animal Caretaker to join our hardworking team at Earl Mortimer College.

You will be required to maintain a high level of animal welfare during term time and the school holidays.

Tasks for the role will include:

  • Ensuring cages, pens, trays, equipment and fittings are kept clean
  • Providing fresh food and water for the animals
  • Handling and moving the animals safely
  • Checking the animal’s environment (temperature / humidity checks)
  • Monitoring the condition of animals and reporting any concerns
  • Ordering, collecting and distributing food stock including hay, straw and locusts
  • Liaising closely with the Science Faculty team
