We require an Exams Office to join Earl Mortimer College.

Exam Officer responsibilities include :

•    Following and adhering to JCQ regulations and expectations
•    Maintaining and developing systems to manage and co-ordinate all aspects of the examinations administration process
•    Being responsible for examination entries and liaising with staff, parents and students
•    Organising examination papers as they arrive and maintaining security and confidentiality of all papers as required by the exam boards
•    Ensuring the secure packing and collection of exam materials
•    Entering NEA marks on secure sites ensuring deadlines are met
•    Briefing students on examination procedures and conduct
•    Leading the start and end of examinations, ensuring registers are submitted to the Attendance Office
•    Being responsible for the daily running of internal and public examinations and liaising with site staff about arrangements for furniture in examination rooms
•    Ensuring all policies are up to date and complaint with JCQ regulations
•    Keeping up to date with all examination board requirements and expectations
•    Managing a team of invigilators and leading their compulsory training
•    Ensuring that the access administration is submitted on the JCQ portal and arrangements are in place for examinations
•    Providing statistics on examination results
•    Downloading and issuing GCSE results to students
•    Arranging for re-marks and dealing with queries about exam results 

 

his role will also involve general administration tasks including answering telephone calls and undertaking Reception duties as and when required. 
Earl Mortimer College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children. It is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
