Assistant Manager

We are seeking a proactive and motivated Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operation of our nursery. The successful candidate will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure high-quality provision, maintain a safe and nurturing environment, and lead staff in delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences. This role includes supporting curriculum planning, overseeing safeguarding and welfare standards, mentoring team members, and building positive relationships with children and families. Ideal candidates will be strong communicators with excellent organisational skills and a passion for early years education.

Nursery Educator 

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Educator to join our team at Greenview and Greenroots Nursery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate exceptional management and leadership skills. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their development through engaging activities and effective communication. The Educator will be responsible for implementing educational programmes that cater to the needs of each child, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote learning and development.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
  • Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to parents regarding their development.
  • Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and improve teaching strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's activities and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery setting.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills in early childhood education.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A background in early childhood education is essential.
  • Experience in childcare settings, demonstrating an understanding of child development principles.
  • Ability to drive may be advantageous as working across sites may be needed
  • A nurturing attitude with a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs of children throughout the day.

Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Competitive Salary

Expected hours: 16 – 44 per week

Education:

  • A-Level or equivalent (required)
