Much Birch CE Primary School is looking for a person to support a child with an EHC Plan, under the direction of class teacher and SENCo.

We are a lovely rural school where each child can fulfil their own potential. A particular feature of our school is our Forest School facility which enhances our children's learning, whilst supporting the National curriculum.
We are seeking a positive, enthusiastic, well-motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant, who will support a child with a wide range of needs.
It is expected the successful applicant will have:
· Experience of working with children with additional needs including and children with EHCP's
· At least two years relevant work experience
· Evidence of working within a class to provide general teaching support in the classrooms or in groups and to support children on a 1:1 basis
· Experience in supporting assessment and evidencing learning
· An ability to work with children of all abilities including SEND
· An ability to deliver interventions
· Good personal communication skills and ability to relate well to children, staff and parents
· An ability to work as part of a team and willingness to be flexible and accommodating in their approach
· Enthusiasm and a strong commitment to achievement, safeguarding and welfare of all children
This opportunity is for a fixed term and pupil named contract.
The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and additional pre-employment checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2024. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
