Peterchurch Primary School sits at the heart of our rural community and is based in the beautiful Golden Valley in between Hereford and Hay on Wye. This is a teaching position at a school where children learn in a positive, caring and inclusive environment. Peterchurch Primary was recognised by OFSTED as a Good school in March 2024. 

We wish to appoint a classroom practitioner for KS2. We would like to hear from you if:-

         you are an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record in raising standards and children making good/better progress.

         you have enthusiasm and a strong commitment to achievement, safeguarding and welfare of all children

         you are creative and adaptable when planning, preparing and assessing lessons

         you have high expectations of pupils’ behaviour and can follow school policies

         you are flexible, accommodating and willing to take on responsibility for subjects

         you are an excellent communicator and can collaborate positively to a team

         you are able to lead, inspire and motivate staff and children

         you are able to build positive relationships with parents

         you have a sense of humour, enthusiasm and the ability to inject fun into learning

Peterchurch Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
